Open At Canora Dam

Open at Canora Dam, been a long wait. After a month of down time, we finally went fishing. Dean started out throwing spoons and caught a Walleye. The bite was slow so Dean decided to switch to a bobber and minnow. The action picked up but not quite how we expected. Hammer handle after hammer handle Pike. Definitely not what we had anticipated for open. Dean was using his Ultra Light rod(Shakespeare combo). Made catching small Pike, fun. Ben was using his Abu Garcia and caught a nice Walleye. He finally switched to a bobber and minnow and his (Luck) turned around. We spent a couple hours and had some fun. Not the Open we hoped for. It is what it is! Like, Subscribe And Share.
