Wader Fishing for Spring Walleye on a Sandbar (First Walleye on Lipless Crank!)

Welcome back to the channel! Today I went to Regina Beach, Saskatchewan on the May opening weekend and took advantage of some shallow water wader fishing. I was able get quite far from shore and not drowning myself. Early spring walleye are close to shore and you'd surprised how shallow they dwell. It's been a grind but I finally cracked my first walleye of the season, and surprisingly to me, on a Lipless Crankbait! Fishing is all about experimenting different techniques and I encourage you to try it. Better get on the shallow bite while it lasts!
