Kamsack, Saskatchewan 2024

I had a request for the Kamsack, Saskatchewan video! This video is from a couple years ago. Kamsack, Saskatchewan, both my husband, Lee, and I were born and raised in Kamsack, with Lee spending his first two years near Pelly. I recall the historic silver water tower with red lights spelling out 'Kamsack' at the top. This iconic landmark, built in 1915, served as a water supply tower until 1978. The current water tower, constructed in the same year, has undergone a color change from bright orange to white, which I prefer. In 1986 the High Scool burned down, a Co-op Grocery store is there now. At the start of the video, to the left of the orange barricades, was the site of the Woodlander Hotel, which unfortunately succumbed to a fire on December 8th, 2023. We then proceeded to Madge Lake, located within Duck Mountain Provincial Park, approximately 20 minutes away, where we both have fond memories of spending time during our youth.
