Athabasca Sand Dunes and Hunt Falls

In the Northwest corner of Saskatchewan along the shores of Lake Athabasca, the trees and rock are replaced by nearly a kilometres of golden sand. The Athabasca Sand Dunes are an incredibly unique ecosystem filled with plants found nowhere else on earth and simply setting foot on the dunes is an awesome experience. Just over one hundred kilometres east of the dunes, on the Grease River is the largest waterfall in Saskatchewan - Hunt Falls. Also known as Lefty Falls, they’re truly breathtaking and stretch an astonishing sixty metres in width.
