Free of ice and alot of birds on the water. As said before this is a nice lake for bird watching. Alot of different species around. The eared grebes swam and dove only a few feet away from me while shore fishing.

Tons of good ice. No Slush or water on top. 20+ inches. I took my wife and she is quite precious, so we just picked a spot and set up out from the Glamping Domes (highly recommended) went about 1/3 of the way across the lake. About 8' water under almost 2' of ice and tons of perch. Mostly smaller ones. Was a fun adventure for us to share in together.

15-16" ice. Tons of cracks and very noisy ice, popping and cracking almost constantly.

13"+ walked on. Couple shacks out and 1 small suv drove on. Ice is very noisy

5"-6" of ice. Tons of small 5" perch on camera. Spotted 1 smallish pike on camera. Zero trout seen.

5-6" ice. Tons of forage perch

Stopped by Sep 9, 2025. Quite a few waterfowl and shorebirds on the water. Tried a few casts from shore since I was there. No hits, no sign of fish. Known to have winterkilled years ago, but was near by anyways.

Fairly overgrown. Alot of cat tails along the shore. There is a little dirt parking area and some spots in the fence to get it. I took a few casts at a spot through the cat tails. No hits. Quite a few coots on the water. No boat launches and it's a pretty small pond.

Tiny trout pond with Rainbow Trout. Nice stop if your in the area.

Maistre Lake flooded out many years ago and is now part of Whiteswan Lake. Stocking efforts stopped at this time as well. With the water being as high as it is on Whiteswan you can boat with a small watercraft through the trees and into Maistre Lake, though I have never caught anything in it.
