Thompson Lakes is a medium sized (1304 acre) lake located 314km NNW of Sandy Bay and 517km NNE of Meadow Lake (City).

Thompson Lakes was named after John Allen Thompson on 1967-12-14 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
