Thompson Lake is a medium sized (1287 acre) lake located 85km NE of Buffalo Narrows and 260km NNE of Meadow Lake (City).

Thompson Lake was named after Peter Thompson on 1955-07-07 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
