Shannon Lake is a medium sized (578 acre) lake located 353km NNE of La Loche and 590km N of Meadow Lake (City). The lake is partially within Fond du Lac 227 (Reserve).
Shannon Lake was named after Irl William Shannon on 1952-03-06 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
