Schmitz Lake is a medium sized (892 acre) lake located 59km N of Pinehouse and 244km NNE of Meadow Lake (City).

Schmitz Lake was named after Donald Joseph Eugene Schmitz on 1957-11-07 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
