Pine Lake

Pine Lake is a tiny stocked trout lake within Narrow Hills Provincial Park. It is directly across the highway from the larger Ispuchaw Lake. The lake is 47km ENE of the Resort Village of Candle Lake and just south west of Lower Fishing Lake where the park visitors centre is.

The lake burnt a few years ago, but was hit again by the SHOE fire. It's pretty much just ash around the lake right now.

The lake is accessible down a short trail off of the Hanson Lake Road. There is room to park off the highway (marked on the map) and a high-clearance vehicle could probably get all the way down to the water. There is no boat launch but there is a launch site that could work for a canoe, kayak, or a boat you could launch by hand. Note there is a 5 hp motor restriction on Pine Lake

There are no facilities at Pine Lake, but there is a campground across the highway at Ispuchaw Lake, and Lower Fishing Lake nearby has a huge campground, a store, pay-phone, park visitor centre, and showers.

The lake is stocked yearly with trout alternating between Rainbow Trout and Splake Trout.

Stopped in to check on the lake after the fire. It burnt a few years ago, but it was hit again and the area around the lake is pretty much just ash now.

Not very pretty anymore, most of the trees around the lake are dead. No sign for the lake from the road, but it's between Shannon and Ispuschaw on the east side of the highway.
