Mitchell Lake is a medium sized (840 acre) lake located 362km N of La Loche and 629km N of Meadow Lake (City).

Mitchell Lake was named after Donald Alex Mitchell on 1963-04-02 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
