McPherson Lake is a medium sized (847 acre) lake located 440km N of Sandy Bay and 668km NNE of Meadow Lake (City).

McPherson Lake was named after James Forbes McPherson on 1968-01-19 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.
