Kristi Lake
Kristi Lake (officially named Coubeaux Lake) is a tiny lake just north of Prince Albert on the edge of Little Red River Park.
There are trails around most of the lake for hiking in the summer and winter, and ski trails are groomed on both the south and north sides as well as on the lake itself by the Prince Albert Ski Club during the winter.
This is a really pretty spot to hike, ski, or just enjoy the forest. It's very close to the city and well worth a visit any time of year.
There is a parking lot with access to the Kristi Lake hiking trails near Marks Nine on the north side of the lake. On the south side it is possible to drive to the lake but you'll want a high-clearance vehicle and to make sure the road has been plowed during the winter.
It is very shallow and you won't find any fish here.
I've spent countless hours on this lake and skiing along the trails around it. It's one of my favourite spots in the Prince Albert area!
People do snowmobile across the lake on occasion. Please stay off the ski trails if you do so. A ton of effort goes into making those for everyone to enjoy!
Coubeaux Lake was named after Belgian naturalist Eugene Coubeaux who spent time in Saskatchewan at the start of the 20th century.
This lake has been personally visited by myself, Matthew Siemens.

North Parking
Park lot near Mark's Nine with access to the trails. You can also get to the lake from here by walking.
South Parking
The road in is a bit rough, make sure you take your time and that your vehicle has enough clearance.
Kristi Lake Trail
This is a pretty and well maintained loop on the north side of the lake. During the winter there is a separate groomed ski trail loop and a walking loop. Please do not walk on the groomed ski trail in the winter!
The best access is to park at the parking lot just past Mark's Nine Golf Course and walk into the trailhead. Look for the trail map sign at the edge of the parking lot as you head in.
