Turtle Lake

Turtle Lake is a massive (18457 acre) lake located 3.2km E of Kivimaa-Moonlight Bay and 59km SSW of Meadow Lake (City). The lake is partially within Thunderchild First Nation 115C (Reserve).

Turtle Lake Recreation Site is adjacent to Turtle Lake.

The lake was officially named on 1939-12-12.

This lake has been personally visited by myself, Matthew Siemens.

SHA has issued a warning that toxic algae may be present ant the lake and advises the following: - Do not drink the lake water - Do not swim or water ski in areas where scum is present - Keep children and pets away from the water - If exposed, rinse off as soon as possible.
