Courtenay Lake is a medium sized (891 acre) lake located 235km NNW of Sandy Bay and 460km NE of Meadow Lake (City).

Courtenay Lake Recreation Site is adjacent to Courtenay Lake.

Courtenay Lake was named after Kenneth Wesley Courtenay on 1957-06-06 as part of the GeoMemorial Commemorative Naming Program ran by the Sask Government.

Hands down one of my favourite car camping location in northern Saskatchewan. Amazing sandy beaches. Can’t to bring my boat here
