A Christmas Fishing Repost

In this video it was around Christmas time last year. We had A blast. Here at one of our favorite fishing spot. We fish this spot primarily for cutthroat trout. But during the salmon season we had a chance to enjoy the coho and chum salmon that run up Nicomen Slough. This video was made near Christmas and we didn't anticipate Salmon would still be there. It was a pleasant surprise. with this video came alot of complaints from some viewers. Some claiming we were fishing illegally, in an illegal spot. After contacting DFO, we were able to show that we were perfectly legal. Others didn't like that we were catching these fish late season. Claiming we were pounding the fish, These fish were not snagged or flossed. These are also done spawning and will soon be gone. But somehow this is worse than 300 fishermen lining the shores of the Vedder River. To each their own. We don't complain about how others fish because it's none of our business. Fishing is about having fun and it seems to us that the majority of the fishermen in the Fraser Valley are all about eating the fish and not having fun with the fishing.
