In this video we make a short stop to fish the North Saskatchewan River. This was the beginning of our trip back to the Fraser Valley. Our favorite, part of this trip, the long straight roads, put it in cruise control and relax. Along our path on this trip was the Battlefords, And the North Saskatchewan River. Dean has fished it near Edmonton before the show. So a first really. We explored a bit and found a place to fish near the bridge to put out our pickerel rigs with worms and minnows. We were looking for Sturgeon, but we'll have to come back and target them. The fishing was slow but we managed a couple of new species, for us in Saskatchewan. Sauger and Northern Pikeminnow.(common fish in the Fraser Valley). The weather was not great but not unfishable. Will definitely come back when the weather is better. This place requires further exploration and targeting of Sturgeon. We really didn't have enough time, will come back so this again. Like & Subscribe and Share.
