Lockport Dam, a place we had watched on YouTube. We talked about it for months, we saved our money and we finally did it. Lockport is what we call a bucket list fishing destination. Usually, when we get excited, the trip is a flop. Not this time! It met our expectations and some. Before, reaching Winnipeg, we took a stop at the Assiniboine river. After a few hours of fishing there ,we arrived at Lockport. It was just after dark, so we decided on night fishing. Which turned out to be outstanding for the target fish. The Channel Catfish, we've caught them before but Lockport was a surprise. Almost every Cat we caught, was 15lbs and better. One after another and highly aggressive. We used heavy gear and heavy line and glad we did. This experience can't be matched. Would recommend this to anyone. You will get your Master several times. We will be back.
