A Fishing Trip Gone Wrong

Looking for a record catfish, and all we could catch was Walleye. It was a nice day. But we were not catching the target fish. We fished below the dam and the fishing was slow. We fished the Crooked Lake and the fishing was slightly better but still no cats around. We were using pickerel rigs. Medium action rods and 8-10# test. We were using worms and shrimp. All went ok until we got back to the Truck. Loaded up and went to start it up. Nothing!! We walked to the gas station(1km). Waved down a guy and his girlfriend. They were kind enough to give us a jump start. Still nothing!! Waved down another guy and he said he'd come back. And he did. He towed us and fixed my starter and had us back on the road in a couple hours. Scary but got lucky. It could have been winter. Fishing can be good. Will return for further exploration. Like and Share
