Night Fishing For Monsters

In this video we catch one after another monsters, at Lockport Dam .Manitoba. Lockport Dam was a bucket list location for us. We talked and talked about this trip and we made it happen. Eleven hours of driving but absolutely worth it. We were there on the hunt for the world renowned Channel Catfish. We were not disappointed. We arrived in Winnipeg about an hour after dark and decided to try the night fishing. we were overwhelmed by the numbers and size of the Cats we ended up hooking into. We used heavy gear, and with good reason. Landing these fish on lighter gear would have been sketchy. Absolutely love fishing the Red River and can't wait to get back.
