Boundary Dam Reservoir
Boundary Dam Reservoir is a medium sized reservoir in southern Saskatchewan along the course of Long Creek. It is connected to McDonald Lake through a 10km diversion channel that can take excess water in either direction between the reservoirs.
Boundary Dam Reservoir is located 10km SSW of Estevan with access from Highway 47.
A section of the Woodlawn Regional Park is located at the reservoir. There is a full-service campground, a beach, a boat launch, and volleyball courts.
Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, White Sucker and Yellow Perch can be found in Boundary Dam Reservoir. **Reminder that there is a limit of 0 for largemoth bass here in Saskatchewan.**
## Largemouth Bass
Due to warm water being returned by the Boundary Dam Power Station, a large area of the reservoir doesn't freeze during the winter. This features allows Boundary Dam Reservoir to support a population of large mouth bass, making it the only lake in Saskatchewan that does.
The Boundary Dam was originally built in 1957 to create a reservoir to supply water to the Boundary Dam Power Station and the city of Estevan.
