Keep those hooks Sharp!- One the most neglected items fishers forget about is how sharp or dull their hook actually is. Rocks, fish teeth, bone and general wear and tear blunt hooks, bend them and weaken them. Always have a file on hand to constantly sharpen those hooks, and inspect them frequently for bends and dullness, especially after landing a fish. If they can’t be sharpened easily, replace them.
