Have I been Gardening Wrong? | Changing priorities and perspectives

Is there a wrong way to garden? I'm completely changing how I'm gardening in 2025!

In truth, if you are putting seeds or plants in the ground there is really no wrong way to garden, but depending on your goals, objectives, and priorities there may be things you can change to help you better achieve those goals in next season's garden!

For myself, I love watching the wonderfully diverse gardens on multiple acres in warm southern climates. But as a cold-climate garden owner it might actually be getting in the way by trying to emulate those gardens in Zone 1. In this video I talk about the three main shifts I am making for next year's garden.

  1. I'm only growing it if I can't get it at my local store
  2. I'm only growing it if it grows well in my weather conditions
  3. I am going to start using fertilizers to try and maximize yield
