Chitek Lake
Chitek Lake is a very large lake in southern Saskatchewan. It is located 59km SE of Meadow Lake. The lake is accessible from Highway 24.
There are many other lakes within a short distance of Chitek Lake to explore.
The majority of the lake is in the RM of Big River with the most southerly point in the RM of Spiritwood. The south and west shores of the lake are bordered by the Chitek Lake 191 Reserve. Chitek Lake Recreation Site is located on the north shore while the Resort Village of Chitek Lake is in the northeast corner.
There is a boat launch in the Resort Village. The rec. site is leased and has two campgrounds and a beach. Chamakese Resort is located on the reserve and has a campground, boat launch, and beach as well. Little Pine Lodge in the Resort Village offers rental cabins, boat rentals, snowmobile rentals, ice shack rentals, and more! There is a 9 hole golf course with grass greens at the lake.
Northern Pike, Yellow Perch, Walleye, Lake Whitefish, Burbot, White Sucker and Cisco can be found in Chitek Lake. **Please note there is a reduced limit for walleye on Chitek Lake and a year round fishing closure on Indian Bay.**
The main outflow for the lake is the Chitek River which leaves the north end of the lake.
