In this video, I take on a 10-mile hike deep into the Saskatchewan wilderness on the hunt for wild trout in an untouched little creek I’ve had my eye on. Armed with my fly rod, a backpack full of essentials, and a whole lot of stubbornness, I bushwhack through thick brush, navigate tight water, and try not to lose too many flies to the trees.

The weather didn’t exactly cooperate—off and on rain made the hike slick and the fishing tricky, but it also brought out that raw, wild beauty that makes these trips unforgettable. Between the storms and soaked gear, I managed to connect with some gorgeous wild trout in a setting that felt straight out of a dream.

After a full day on the water, I set up a cozy little camp along the creek and cooked up a hearty meal of moose meat—perfect fuel after a wet, rugged day outdoors.

This adventure is all about the journey: hiking way off the grid, exploring hidden streams, chasing wild fish, and soaking up the rugged peace of Saskatchewan’s backcountry. If you’re into remote fishing, wilderness cooking, and the raw beauty of nature, this one’s for you.
