I decided to include this beautiful song that was suggested to me. It seemed fitting as the singer, Connie Kaldor, was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, and is a Canadian folk singer-songwriter. She is the recipient of three Juno awards. The Wood River runs through southern Saskatchewan on the Canadian prairie. It is an old river that winds and twists its way along and is a favourite spot of hers for picnics and meetings. I hope to go sometime to see the actual spot that she wrote about. Connie wrote this love song while living in the busy city of Toronto, thinking back to this beautiful spot where she had once lived. I put the same beautiful song that she wrote for Wood River. It's so fitting as it's a Saskatchewan River as well. In this video, the Woody River is located near the town of Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan, originating from Woody Lake in Porcupine Hills, southeast of the town. The Wood River flows south and then east, eventually draining into Swan Lake in Manitoba. Woody Lake is a popular, undeveloped recreational area featuring multiple lakes and is a source of the Wood River. I love the rocks in the river. Song Credit: Connie Kaldor - "Wood River".
