Crooked Lake, Saskatchewan Qu'appelle Valley March 31st, 2026

Yesterday was a beautiful day for flying our drones! We went to Sunset Beach in the Qu'appelle Valley. Grayson is north of this area and Broadview is south of this area. Sunset Beach, a hamlet on the northeastern shore of Crooked Lake in Saskatchewan, has been a recognized recreational destination since at least 1920. Located within the RM of Grayson #184, this community, situated on Treaty 4 and Treaty 6 territory, features a popular campground initially developed by the Criddle family, along with residential cabins. Water Management: The nearby Crooked Lake outlet structure, crucial for maintaining lake levels, was built by the Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) in the 1940s and is now managed by the Saskatchewan Water Security Agency.
