Otter Lake
Otter Lake is a very popular fishing, paddling and recreational destination in the central zone of Saskatchewan. It is located 67km NE of La Ronge with access to the lake from Highway 102.
The south and eastern shores of the lake are in [Lac La Ronge Provincial Park](/lac-la-ronge-provincial-park/).
The hamlet of Missinipe is on the western shore of the lake and has some services, a provincial RV park, a beach, and boat launch. Churchill River Canoe Outfitters and Thompson's Resort both are located in Missinipe.
Churchill River Canoe Outfitters offers canoe expeditions, courses, shuttles and rentals as well as cabin rentals, boat rentals, and guided fishing trips.
Thompson's Resort has rental cabins, an onsite restaurant, conference facilities, boat rentals, guides, float planes, and outpost trips in Missinipe
Grandmother's Bay Reserve is located on the north shore of the lake.
Walleye, Sauger, Northern Pike, Cisco, White Sucker, Longnose Sucker, Lake Whitefish, Burbot and Yellow Perch can be found in Otter Lake. **Note: There is a custom limit for walleye and northern pike on Otter Lake. Part of the lake has an additional seasonal closure.**
The lake is part of the Churchill River system with the river running through the lake.
