Christopher Lake
Christopher Lake is a popular recreation lake located 40km NNW of Prince Albert. The lake has parks, campgrounds, camps, marinas, beaches, boat launches, and hiking trails to explore. The lake is accessible from Highways 953 and 263.
The Resort Village of Christopher Lake is 2km SE of the lake and has most services including gas, restaurant, liquor, library and groceries. [The northernmost tip of Christopher lake is within Blue Heron Provincial Park](/great-blue-heron-provincial-park/) although no park services/facilities exist there. The provincial park office is within the Resort Village of Christopher Lake though.
The community of Bell's Beach is located on the southeast corner of the lake. The community of Clearsand Beach is on the western shore. There are also many cabins located on the lake.
There are two marina's on the lake, one at Bell's Beach and one at Slottens Bay. Camp Kadesh, Camp Christopher, Quest, and Kinasao Luthern Bible Camp are all church camps operating on the lake.
The Christopher Lake Nature area has three hiking trails, in the winter one trail is groomed for skiing and snowshoeing.
Walleye, northern pike, yellow perch, burbot, and white sucker can be found in Christopher Lake. It has occasionally been stocked with walleye in the past. The last time it was stocked was in 2017. In the 1930's it was even experimentally stocked with smallmouth bass!
Christopher Lake has a very small catchment of only 25 square kms, the main inflow for the lake is the Christopher lake diversion which brings in water from Emma Lake. Christopher Creeks flows out of the lake near Bell's Beach.

Christopher Lake was named after Christopher Gravel who was the brother-in-law of the district surveyor.
