There are over 6,600 photos uploaded by 271 different users on SaskLakes already. There are still many lakes without photos, your contributions make a big difference!

How to upload photos
Step 1: Create a free account
To upload photos, you'll need a SaskLakes account. This is quick and easy and means I can:
- Credit your photos where possible
- Prevent spam
- Let's you manage your photos in the future
Step 2: Choose how you want to upload
Option A: From a lake page (recommended)
- Visit any lake on SaskLakes
- Tap the Upload photos button on that lake's page
- Select your photos and submit
This is the easiest way if you're already browsing a lake.
Option B: From the upload page
- Go to the Upload photos page
- Search for the lake name
- Select the correct lake
- Upload your photos
Step 3: Upload your photos
- Select one or more photos
- Add an optional description
- Link it to an attraction at the lake if relevant
- Submit your upload
Your photos will be placed in a review queue.
Step 4: Photo review and approval
Before photos appear publicly, they're reviewed to make sure they are appropriate.
Once approved:
- Your photos appear on the lake's page, the photo page, and other parts of the site
- They may appear in SaskLakes social media and promotional material
- They help shape things like “most photographed lakes†lists
What kind of photos can I upload?
Anything lake-related or happening at a lake is welcome. They can be scenic shots, action photos, wildlife, or anything else that captures the lake experience. Even photos of lake infrastructure like docks, boat launches, and campgrounds are great because it helps others know what to expect when they visit.
I absolutely love seeing the photos that people take at Saskatchewan's lakes, especially when it's a lake I haven't made it to yet!
- Lake scenery, beaches, docks, boat launches, and campsites
- Fishing photos and on-the-water views
- Trails and surrounding nature
- Wildlife, birds, and animals you see around the lake
- Sunsets, storms, seasons, and day-to-day lake life
Please avoid uploading photos that include identifiable people without their permission
Photo use & sharing
Photos uploaded to SaskLakes may be featured on SaskLakes social media, promotional material, or shared with others to help showcase Saskatchewan's lakes. Credit is always given where possible.

Yes. SaskLakes photo uploads work on mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Do I get credit for my photos?
Yes. Uploaded photos are connected to your account and credited when displayed on the site. They may not be credited if shared externally or used on SaskLakes social media or promotional material.
