When the water warms up (mid-june to mid-september) the fish have a strong grassy taste and are not good to eat.

2025-05-24. 5-6 groups fishing for a total of 17 anglers. A lot of pressure for a small water body. 2 guys for 5 1/2 hours caught 2 fish 1 & 2 lbs.

Heavy angling pressure. Steep rutted trails down to lake. If you have driven down to fish and it rains you will have difficulty or possibly not be able to get out until it dries.
