Ongoing Investigation in Saskatoon on the South Saskatchewan River

Emergency crews are responding to an incident on the South Saskatchewan River near the weir after reports of a jet-ski operator going over the weir at approximately 4:45 p.m. on June 20.

According to the Saskatoon Police Service, police and fire crews remain on scene and the investigation is ongoing.

There are currently no roadway restrictions; however, pedestrian walkways in the area have been closed.

The public is asked to avoid the area and contact Saskatoon Police if they have information related to the incident.
