Chitek Lake

Chitek Lake is a very large (8191 acre) lake located 4.6km W of Chitek Lake (Village) and 59km SE of Meadow Lake (City). The lake is partially within Chitek Lake 191 (Reserve).

Chitek Lake Recreation Site is adjacent to Chitek Lake.

The lake was officially named on 1956-10-04. The name Chitek Lake is of Cree origin.

This lake has been personally visited by myself, Matthew Siemens.

Fishing at Chitek Lake

Chitek Lake is in the southern fishing zone.

Chitek Lake is partially within a First Nations Reserve. Please note that according to the Sask Anglers Guide:

Permission from the First Nation Chief or Band Council is required to fish on First Nations reserve lands.
