Bug Lake

Bug Lake is a small fishing lake located 17km N of the Resort Village of Chitek Lake and 52km ESE of Meadow Lake (City).

This is a quiet, pretty little lake with Northern Pike and Whitefish.

There is a provincial rec. site at the lake with a primitive boat launch but no services or amenities. The road in is quite narrow and bumpy, with no real good place to turn around at the end. Check out the pictures of the launch/road on the site to get a better idea.

The outlet for the lake flows into the Chitek River.

This lake has been personally visited by myself, Matthew Siemens.

Bit of a bumpy ride down a very narrow road to get in. There is a primitive launch at the lake and people had been bringing in trailers when I was there. Must be fishing ok!
