SaskLakes Weekly Update

This newsletter is your weekly guide to what's happening around Saskatchewan lakes, including featured lakes, community photos, news, site updates, and upcoming events to help you make the most of your time at the lake.

Increased flow on South Saskatchewan River

The WSA has announced they will be opening the spillway at Gardiner Dam on June 7th with peak flow expected June 11th.

I went yesterday to checkout the spill way and as of noon they hadn't been opened yet.

New Water Level Page

I wanted to be able to watch what was happening with the spillway opening so I build a new page on the site to pull together water levels from across the province.

You can find the new page under the "Current Conditions" menu or directly at https://sasklakes.ca/conditions/water-levels/.

It's brand new, so I'd love any feedback and suggestions for the page.

Many Fire Bans lifted

With the wetter weather many of the fire bans around the province have been lifted!

The SPSA fire ban which covered the provincial parks as well as the ban for Prince Albert National Park have been lifted.

I'm trying to consolidate fire ban information from the different sources and provide a central view while linking back to the official sources on the Fire Bans Page on SaskLakes.
